The new, refurbished Rockfield building will contain a dedicated ART SPACE which we are keen to make as interesting and accessible as possible.
Much thought has gone into the type of facility we hope to create and within this space we aim to incorporate a PRINTMAKING workshop.
Such a facility can appeal to all ages and abilities and lends itself to the development of both Fine Art and Design outcomes.
Print is also a medium which does not necessarily rely on drawing/artistic expertise but can be undertaken by a wide range of participants. As well as art prints, imagine creating your own personalized printed item eg. T shirt or tote bag. Collage can be enhanced by creating your own printed papers, magic can happen before your eyes as your cyanotype emerges….. puzzled ??
Find out more at our introductory workshops in the Rockfield huts.
As a ‘taster’ we have arranged TWO PRINTMAKING WORKSHOPS led by professionals from Edinburgh Printmakers Workshop.
Over two days you will be introduced to the potential of printmaking with introductions to screenprinting and cyanotype.
The workshop on Sunday 27th October covers the basics of CYANOTYPE.
No previous experience needed - all materials supplied.
The number of participants is limited. Please book to avoid disappointment.
