Join us for a celebration of what women in our communities have achieved and can achieve socially, politically and culturally. The event will run on a drop-in basis - come to as much or as little as you like. Children are very welcome: there will be a kiddies' corner to keep them entertained, and they can of course join in.
11am - welcome, gather
11.30am - political engagement workshop/round table discussion with local Councillors and community activists (details tbc), hosted by Oban Women's March: how do we encourage more women to participate at a community, local authority, national and international level?
1pm - lunch. Bring a packed lunch or cold dish to share for a 'community feast', or pop out as you prefer
2pm - cultural celebration afternoon, featuring performances by local writers, singers and musicians. If you would like to perform, or have other suggestions for the day, please email Kirsty on firstname.lastname@example.org . There may be some space to add to the programme, so ideas are very welcome.
Light refreshments will be available throughout the day. Donations of home baking would be very gratefully received. The event is free, and donations are welcome.
