A brand new family production from Just Us is set to tour across Scotland this Autumn. A Home for Hamish is a vibrant and sensory performance for children aged 4-7 and their families, combining playful storytelling, movement, dance and British Sign Language in a joyful celebration of imagination and friendship.

Created by Deaf dance artist Clare Adam (she/they) and Autistic dance artist Lesley Howard (they/them), A Home for Hamish invites children into a magical world of adventure.

At its heart are May and their imaginary friend, Hamish the Haggis, who embark on an unforgettable journey across Scotland in search of the perfect night’s sleep. Along the way, they must support and rely on one another as they escape dragons, dance with jellyfish and climb the tallest mountains - discovering that home is not just a place, but the journey you share with friends.

Playfully merging dance, British Sign Language, and immersive sensory design, this 40-minute production creates an inclusive space where all children can see themselves, their languages, and their sensory needs represented and celebrated.

We’ll meet at the kid’s corner in the Rowan Cafe!
