Dicken’s masterpiece is brought to the stage as a 1950s radio broadcast in front of a studio audience. Featuring live sound effects and an original score.

Following thirteen years of radio plays on stage including ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ (‘A perfectly formed triumph’ Tempohouse; ‘A terrific indulgence’ Love Books Group), ‘Para Handy’, ‘Dracula’ and ‘Frankenstein’ No Nonsense Productions return with ‘A Christmas Carol; A Radio Play on Stage’.

Dickens’ masterpiece is brought to the stage as a 1950s radio broadcast in front of a studio audience. Four actors play 1950s radio actors who in turn portray all the characters of ‘A Christmas Carol’.

Featuring live sound effects and an original score this is a rare opportunity to see how a 1950s radio broadcast was produced.

Very entertaining and well done, lots of laughs.

Excellent, entertaining, very enjoyable. Merry Christmas and happy new year.

Unusual and superbly acted radio play! Loved all the real and literary characters. Will recommend to friends and would happily see it again and again!

An absolute pleasure. A magnificent production full of the highest quality.
