Dicken’s masterpiece is brought to the stage as a 1950s radio broadcast in front of a studio audience. Featuring live sound effects and an original score.

Following thirteen years of radio plays on stage including ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ (‘A perfectly formed triumph’ Tempohouse; ‘A terrific indulgence’ Love Books Group), ‘Para Handy’, ‘Dracula’ and ‘Frankenstein’ No Nonsense Productions return with ‘A Christmas Carol; A Radio Play on Stage’.

Dickens’ masterpiece is brought to the stage as a 1950s radio broadcast in front of a studio audience. Four actors play 1950s radio actors who in turn portray all the characters of ‘A Christmas Carol’.

Featuring live sound effects and an original score this is a rare opportunity to see how a 1950s radio broadcast was produced.
