The Rockfield Centre’s Arts programme delivers a range of events and activities for all ages to enjoy.
From live music and theatre to art workshops, educational classes and exhibitions, our mission is to create and provide opportunities for audiences to engage, patriciate and learn through the arts.
Our hybrid arts programme offers a variety of onsite and online activities for locals and the wider world to enjoy.

Exploring the history and heritage of Oban through events, activities and a good ol’ blether.
Our Heritage projects are led by our volunteer Heritage Hunters who wish to keep the heritage of Oban alive by capturing, conserving and sharing the heritage of Oban.
In the centre we house a growing library of artefacts, books, photographs and other online resources that are available to to the public to browse or use for research.
The “hands on” Kids Space - Àite na Cloinne which shares the story of Oban and enables interaction with the timeline and growth of Oban- including opportunity for children to take control of their own wee ferry and head off to the islands.

Maintaining connections and supporting community wellbeing.
The Rockfield Centre’s Wellbeing programme delivers a range of events and activities designed to enhance the wellbeing of participants.
From informal music sessions and gentle art workshops to knitting groups and yoga classes, our mission is to facilitate opportunities for audiences to take time for themselves, spend time with others and feel supported and refreshed.
Our wellbeing programme consists of carefully curated activities and events designed to enhance individual wellbeing.

The Rockfield Centre’s Education programme delivers a range of events and activities designed to encourage learning and skills development.
From Young Archaeologists and Lego Club to Family STEM Workshops and Science Week, our mission is to provide educational opportunities for all ages, to learn new skills and explore the world around them.
Our Education programme provides fun and engaging learning opportunities for children and adults.
