Panacea Poetry

Saturday 17th December | 7.30pm to 9.30pm

The Rockfield Centre - Rowan Room Cafe, Oban, PA34 5DQ

The second night of our NEW regular spoken word night, Panacea Poetry is on December 6th from 7.30PM.

Like our open mic night, Take the Stage, the floor is open to anyone who would like to read one word after another whether that’s in beat, as a poem, a joke or even a passage has struck a cord. We’d love to hear it.

Each month we will have a new headline act. This month its Fiona Jane (Wee Peach Poetry)

Sign up here, via the button above or on the day. We’re all ears, the only ask is to keep it within five minutes-ish.

This Month’s Headliner | Fiona Jane (Wee Peach Poetry)

Fiona Jane is a spoken word poet based in central belt. You can find her at Glasgow and Edinburgh’s open-mics talking queerness, bodies and belonging, all while making friends with other poets.

Jane’s debut pamphlet ‘I made Adam’ was self-published in June 2025. You can find her other work in ‘Butch-femme press - Desires’, ‘Coin operated press’ and ‘StoryTree zine’, as well as her live performances on ‘Loud Poets’ youtube channel.

Her journey with poetry started when she moved to Appin for a couple of years back in 2021, many of her poems have been written at the window table in Oban’s Hinba Coffee Roasters.

Worst enemies include: English grammar, punctuation and writing about herself in the third person.

Favourite things to think about include: gay stuff and angry women.
