Take the Stage!

Take the Stage! at our monthly Open Mic Night

Take the Stage is our monthly informal open mic night, held in the informal setting of The Rowan Room (our community cafe space).

We provide a full professional spec PA system and a keyboard. Bring your own instruments otherwise (tho there’s usually a guitar kicking about you can borrow if you need to!).

Sign up on the night (sheet as you come in the door) and our friendly team of volunteers will talk you through it and get you set up on stage. We have a side room you can practice and warm up in too.

All mediums are welcome, amateur or professional, new or old material, originals or covers. Soloists or groups. It’s a really great place to try things out, build confidence, or just have some fun!

Audience members required too, so don’t be put off if you’re not performing! Everyone is welcome.

The bar will be open, alongside our usual offer of cakes, nibbles, and hot and cold drinks .

This is a family friendly event, but all under 18s should be accompanied by an adult due to licensing restrictions.

It’s free to attend, but we appreciate donations on the door to help us cover the cost of putting on the event. Suggested donation £5, but anything you can give would be amazing. Donations can be made by cash (bucket on way in) or by card (at the bar).
