After a thrilling, sold-out run at Edinburgh Fringe and tour in 2019, 6 Feet 3 Shoes, comes to The Rockfield Centre on Wednesday 14th September 2022.

6 Feet 3 Shoes is a celebration of friendship across borders told through feisty, percussive flamenco, Scottish and contemporary dance, performed by three dancers plus two musicians who play exhilarating live guitar and fiddle. Dance, storytelling, song and foot-stomping rhythms bring to life a story that resonates across generations and cultures. Come and share in tender moments through to a good old giggle with a captivating ensemble of performers.

In addition to glowing reviews, the show was shortlisted for the prestigious Total Theatre for Dance and greeted with exuberant standing ovations from capacity audiences. This heart-warming show from choreographer/dancer Jen Wren, entranced audiences of all ages, from children through to pensioners, from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Jen Wren is a multi-skilled international dance artist and creative director.  Born in Scotland but with strong Spanish links, Jen references these cultures in her work, embedding traditional steps and music into productions - accenting these with emotion and a sense of adventure.

“A poignant story about the ties that bind us and the fantastic outcome of shared cultures.  A beautiful blend of Scotland and Spain… NOT TO BE MISSED” - Broadway Baby

“raw energy, rhythm and fun…” -  Daily Business Magazine

perfect fusion of fun, rhythm, emotion and magic!” - Scottish Storytelling Centre

Following the performance, the audience will have an opportunity to join the company in a Ceilidh at the end of the show.
