The Rockfield Centre is OPEN for Hires!

Located on the idyllic west coast of Scotland in the heart of Oban, The Rockfield Centre, is a beautifully restored Victorian former school.  The last few years have been spent lovingly bringing this jewel of a building back to life.  As you would imagine in a Victorian property, the ceilings are beautifully high and the windows magnificent, allowing lots of stunning natural light into each room. Whilst being sympathetic to the age and style of the building and keeping many original features, it has been refurbished to a high standard and fitted out for modern-day purposes.

WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE US FOR FUNCTIONS / WEDDINGS / MEETINGS:

  • We are located in the centre of town, a stone’s throw away from the ferry terminal, train station, town centre hotels and B&Bs.  So guests travelling to your event can easily walk from their transport and accommodation to our venue.  

  • We have small, medium and large spaces available to hire for any activity, event or occasion.

  • Conference equipment is available to hire for your event - projector, screen, lectern, microphones, mixing table, speakers, fixed or folding tables and chairs.

  • The whole building has super-speed wifi, which is included in your hire cost.

  • All rooms are accessible via our lift and we have mobility parking right outside the main entrance. There is a 45-space pay and display car park onsite and we are happy to recommend nearby accommodation if required.

  • The building has accessible restrooms, changing/green rooms, showers and baby changing facilities and most of our rooms have blackout blinds.

  • Our venue is registered with and approved by the local Council to accommodate weddings and funerals, we can cater to up to 120 guests and provide a licenced bar. We are happy to furnish you with a list of wedding day suppliers in the area, to help make your special day one to truly cherish. Click here for further wedding information.

  • As well as our inside spaces, we also have outside spaces available for hire including our verandah which runs the length of the front of the building and a space outside the main entrance which is ideal for pop up catering stalls/vans.

  • All our rooms have openable windows and the original Victorian ventilation system which is highly effective!

WE CATER FOR BIRTHDAY PARTIES TOO:

Our Heritage KidsSpace is now open weekly, Thursday - Sunday 10am and 1pm.

£3 per child and accompanying adult with each additional child £2, family ticket £6.

The space is also available to hire for children’s parties and activities (as our other big rooms - Oak and Ash - which are perfectly sized to house a bouncy castle too!).
