Mixed Media Artist and Creative Workshop Leader
I have been creating mixed media art for as long as I can remember and I truly believe that engaging in art-making through creative exploration has the power to transform your life.
Through blending my skills and experience as a tutor, coach, and mixed media artist, I am passionate about providing fun and engaging opportunities for you to explore processes of creating art that can empower you to gain greater confidence in who you are as you explore your creative potential.

Pay what you can tickets available
A workshop introducing the art of making a journal or sketchbook from found and recycled materials. Because it is handmade, you have complete control over the size, binding and content which lets you tailor the journal to your specific needs.
Come and join Jake as she guides you through the making process.
All materials provided.
Spaces are limited so book early and be over the age of 14.
Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

A painting session to begin exploring the use of colour in landscapes. Knowing where to start with colour choices and mixing for landscape painting can seem overwhelming, this is where Jake can get you off to a confident start.
All materials provided.
Spaces are limited so book early and be over the age of 14.

Renuka Ramanujam
Textile designer and printmaker
Renuka is a textile designer and printmaker who enjoys creating warm, sociable creative spaces! With a focus on sustainability and heritage through her own practice, she is keen to share crafts that are accessible, functional and mindful whilst empowering participants with new skills.
She has run the Open Draw since October 2021, and delivered other special workshops at The Rockfield including an Earth Week screenprinting workshop and a printmaking with natural ink workshop. Renuka is also a practicing artist, participating in the 2023 Argyll Hope Spot Residency and commissions with Montrose Museum and Dig It! Scotland
Upcoming events
An open studio social session, for illustrators, crafters, doodlers, art lovers - essentially EVERYONE!. A range of materials are provided but feel free to bring your own! Come along, get your creative groove on and meet fellow art lovers.
It's a great way to get creative! An inspiration bookshelf, drawing materials and prompts will be on hand should you feel stuck!
As we believe art should be accessible for all, the event is run on donations to help replenish supplies.
Feel free to bring snacks and drinks to keep you going while you draw!
