Heritage Talk: A War of Words

Thursday 26th February | 7pm

The Rockfield Centre - Rowan Room Cafe, Oban, PA34 5DQ

Discover the remarkable story of the world’s first Gaelic dictionary — and the man who risked everything to complete it at a time when the Gaelic language itself was under threat.

As part of World Gaelic Week, the dictionary will be on display at the Rockfield Centre throughout the week, offering visitors the chance to view this powerful symbol of linguistic preservation up close.

A compelling reminder of the theme Cleachd i no Caill i – Use it or lose it — and why using Gaelic has always mattered.
