Evelyn Laurie Quartet performs contemporary jazz renditions of traditional Scottish songs from her album, "My Scottish Heart" alongside sharing the stories behind the songs, and playing a few other fan favourites!

With Evelyn Laurie on vocals, accompanied by Dan Brown on piano, Simon Toner on double bass and Greg Irons on drums, enjoy an evening of live Scottish music together with our delicious wine and cheese menu.

A life-long singer from Paisley, Evelyn is comfortable in many genres but brings a natural jazz flair to whatever she sings. Although she has been performing professionally for many years, it was only in 2018 that she gave up "the day job" to focus on music full-time, releasing her debut album, "A little bit of me", that year to critical acclaim. Her second album, recorded and produced between lockdowns, titled "My Scottish Heart", is a collection of traditional 18th and 19th century Scottish songs, reimagined in contemporary jazz settings.

The title track is Evelyn's original song about the Clearances, a period of Scottish history that she finds particularly poignant. It was shortlisted in the World Songwriting Awards, jazz section in 2021 and the album was shortlisted in the Paisley Music Awards, 2021.
