Animation Workshop (12 – 18 year olds) with professional animators Jim Parkyn and Jack Lockhart | £5
Join us for a hands on animation workshop, where you can learn from two experienced animators. During this session you will create your own character out of plasticine who will star in your own short animated films created using Stop Motion Studio.
1.30am – 4pm Flow (U) Screening plus family ‘Craft a Capybara’ model making session with Jim Parkyn | £5
Flow an Oscar winning, dialogue free animated film about a cat who finds refuge on a boat with other animals after a flood destroys their homes. Jim Parkyn
With nearly 25 years in the animation industry, Jim has been involved in many best loved animations for Aardman Animations, the BBC and many other clients. As a sculptor, model maker and character designer Jim is the helping hand behind many classic characters including Wallace and Gromit, Shaun The Sheep, Creature Comforts and animated feature films and commercials.
Jack Lockhart
Jack is a freelance film-maker, animator and visual artist with over 25 years working in film education projects. Jack frequently collaborates with artists from other disciplines to create films, events and engagement projects.
