Natural dyeing textile workshop with Deborah Gray.

Textile artist Deborah Gray will teach a hot water method of natural dyeing, as well as how to prepare different fabrics for dyeing, and how to modify the colours. You will take away samples of the dyed fabrics.

Optional: you can dye yourself a silk scarf for an additional £9 (payable at the workshop).

Deborah Gray is a textile artist based in Oban. She is an experienced teacher of natural dyeing, as well as spinning, knitting and other textile crafts. She is one of the lead practitioners of the Eco-Creative Cluster and with a group of volunteers created a dye garden in the Rockfield Centre grounds in 2021.
