Oban Flood Resilience Meeting

The Scottish Flood Forum will be joining Oban Community Council & BID4Oban to demonstrate some Flood Resilience Products that owners and residents can use to protect their properties (both commercial and residential alike) during flooding events.

We’d like to share some information about, & the aims of, the emerging volunteer flood resilience group and hear how such a group could be helpful to you. The solutions to Oban’s flooding issues are complex and expensive, and with no funding opportunities on the horizon, and a climate that is getting more extreme, we feel it's important that the community help ourselves as much as possible.

We’d also like to gather information on which properties are at risk. First hand accounts of people’s experience help us to learn & determine the best solutions, and crucially provides evidence for future funding applications.
