Tall biennial plant, self-seeds

Dried flowers used in traditional medicine (first recorded over 2000 years ago) and many other medicinal uses. Roman soldiers used dried stalks dipped in grease to make torches. Believed to ward off curses and evil spirits.

Dye: the flowers give yellow shades
